Why use a CLEAR LIP LINER?

DO YOU OWN A CLEAR LIP LINER OR WONDER WHAT IT IS?

A Creative Beauty tip…I recently received a sample of the Mary Kay clear lip liner.  Of course, I had no clue how to use it, why to use it or need it!  I did alittle research and now I know why I SHOULD use it!  But when will I have the time to use it?  That’s still an unsolved question!
So, this is what I have learned to date.

Clear lip liner is applied around the lips to prevent lipstick from smudging or feathering outside the lips. Usually, lip liner is colored which is what I have used in the past. I also used a slightly darker shade of lip liner than my lipstick to create a more dramatic look.  On the other hand, a clear lip liner, allows a more natural look while keeping the lipstick where it should go.

Clear lip liner has a matte finish. Why would you want to make the edges of your lips shiny?  Those of us who have little lines around our mouth, watch out!  On occasion my  lipstick would move into those lines and not look very pretty!  A clear lip liner will prevent this.

Application Tip – Apply clear lip liner before lipstick.  My clear lip liner came in a pencil like eye liners do.  If your lip liner does not come this way, use a small angled brush to trace the edges of your lips.  Do not go outside of the borders of your lips or it will look unnatural!   Let the lip liner dry before applying your lipstick!  You should have a very pretty end result!
