Catty Sterling Nights Collection {Beauty}

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a covetable collection from Bobbi Brown hitting counters. This year’s offering – the Bobbi Brown Sterling Nights collection – is a lovely blend of the classic Bobbi Brown neutral shades – with a palette that just screams ‘I can totally justify buying this because I’ll use that every day’ plus a few really interesting additions in the form of lipsticks, shimmering eye shadows and liquid highlighters.

First things first, the Bobbi Brown Sterling Nights palette. A nine shade palette with a mix of matte and shimmer shades. Mostly cooler toned with everything from white and black, plus a few nude/taupe type shades. Just as good for a smokey eye and a day to day look. From subtle mattes for definition to more dramatic shades. Plus it all comes in some gorgeous packaging to boot.

Then there are the four lipstick shades – Atomic Orange, Nude, Lady Ruba and Vixen Red. I do love how there’s that orange red shade (Atomic Orange) a real WOW shade that’s different to the usual reddy shades of Christmas.

Then there’s a trio of liquid highlighter shades. There’s Pink, Seashell and Sunlight Bronze. The one that works for you will likely just come down to your skintone. For me the pink works a treat to add a glow – and it really is a glow not a shimmer. There’s no glitter in sight. It works a treat either under or blended with foundation for that ‘lit within’ finish or direct on cheekbones for a more obvious highlight. The seashell shade is really pretty and looks more like an obvious highlight on my skin. The bronze would look beautiful on darker skin or with a tan. Neither of which I have, but still – very pretty. If you’re jetting off somewhere exotic then this would be one to take with you.

The eyeshadow shades are just beautiful. Shimmering and sparkly and quite dark when layered but can also be used with a brush for a sheer finish. The three here are Constellation (bronze), Comet (green), Star Beam (purple) then there’s a fourth shade (not shown) which is a dark blue with golden shimmer – called Moon Rock.

The highlight of the Bobbi Brown Sterling Nights collection for me is the liquid highlighers – no pun intended. With Pink being one I’ve reached for time and time again over the past couple of weeks to try and fake a wide awake glow when I’m feeling a little more ‘duvet day’!

What’s the stand out for you from the Bobbi Brown Sterling Nights collection?
